Services for academics
We offer four services for Academics. Two are based on assessment tasks, and a further two are designed to develop the writing and study skills of your students. Write Advice can also be contracted to undertake consultancy services (research, evaluation and report writing, for example).
Assessment support
Write Advice offers advice and feedback on what students find confusing when it comes to assessment instructions. When students are confused by the instructions, the quality of their work is poor. Equally, academics spend a considerable amount of their time trying to explain what it is they want!
Fresh eyes on assessment instructions – individualised feedback
We offer a “fresh pair of eyes” service and will read through your assessment instructions looking for what students find confusing. This is an especially useful service if you have inherited a paper or programme, or you regularly receive queries from students seeking clarification of the assessment instructions.

The first one is the delivery of online workshops directly for your students covering a range of writing, critical reasoning and study topics. Also, if you have a cohort of students who would benefit from some more intensive individualised support, then Write Advice can be contracted to provide feedback on your students' assignments before they hand them in - developmental formative feedback designed to enhance their writing skills.
You can contract Write Advice to provide:
